HOW TO PLAY

Start here.

YOU’LL NEEDTwo balls per side plus one small target—or rolled socks outdoors on a blanket
  1. 1Toss the small target into the playing area and choose two ball colors or otherwise identify each side’s balls.
  2. 2Alternate rolling larger balls, trying to finish closest to the target or knock opposing balls away.
  3. 3After every ball is rolled, score one point for each ball belonging to the closest side that lies nearer than the other side’s best ball; then begin a new end.
  4. 4Solo: roll four balls and score one point for each that finishes within one large step of the target, then move the target and try to beat that score.

REMIX THE RULES

Complete twists.

Bank-shot boccePlace the target behind one agreed obstacle such as a tree, chair, or cone, leaving a rolling route around it. Every ball must touch or travel around the designated obstacle before it can score. Use normal closest-ball scoring after all rolls; first side to seven points wins.
